Imagine if your girlfriend cheated on you with the attractive model in the photo on the top - what’s your reaction? Imagine her with the attractive female model. Any difference? Research shown, Men are a lot more likely to forgive a straying girlfriend if she’s cheated on him with another woman.
The scientists found that about 22 percent of men said that they’d probably stay with a girlfriend if she had an affair with another guy(Mark Cloud, Ph.D; Journal Personality and Individual Differences). Yet these men were twice as likely to stick around if she cheated with another woman. On the other hand, about 30 percent of women would dump their two-timing boyfriends.
Whether or not men realize it, they’re still concerned with spreading their genes.So if a woman has a cheating past and becomes pregnant later on, a man might be skeptical that he’s the father. Therefore, he might subconsciously want to break off the relationship before it goes any further. On the flip side, if his mate is cheating with another woman, there’s no threat to his genes(Mark Cloud, Ph.D; Journal Personality and Individual Differences).
